School is back in session, the weather is cooler, the leaves...well, they haven't changed yet, but it won't be long before they do! So, what does that mean to a member of the East Iowa Heirloom Quilters? It's time to get those membership renewals in! Our fiscal year runs from October 1 to September 30. You'll want to renew now in order to attend our special October meeting. Once again, there will be food and prizes galore. And this year is our 35th Anniversary, so there will be cake! We will also vote on incoming Board Members during the October meeting. Check out the candidates in the newsletter and on the website in September. The Guild is still in need of volunteers for the Program chair & committee. The Program committee will shadow our 2016 Program chair, Jan Felthous, to prepare for 2017. (Note: If the position is not filled, there will be no programs or special speakers for 2017.) However, this coming year, we have a lot of interesting speakers, as well as bus trips and retreats. And we can't forget about our biggest event of the year: The 2016 Quilt Show, "Threads of Time." Take a look at the prize-winning quilts from this past year's show HERE. Remember, you must be a member in order to enter. As the year winds down, the Guild is winding up to another great year! Join us!
