Freedom Stitchers of Iowa
Quilts of Valor® is a nation-wide, totally volunteer, 501(c)(3) Foundation whose mission statement is: "To cover all service members and veterans touched by war with a comforting and healing Quilt of Valor".
The local Cedar Rapids volunteer group (Freedom Stitchers of Iowa) makes and professionally quilts the quilts that are awarded to Veterans in a very moving and humbling Presentation Ceremony at least 4-5 times a year.
