March
Greetings to “We the Quilters.” We are two months into our country’s semi-quincentennial. Our guild has repaired 189 flags from Cedar Memorial. Our deadline is to have all flags finished by our March meeting.

Return finished flags at the next meeting or the Quilt of Valor shop. Call me if you need help finishing (920) 988-1339.

February
This month the History of American Quilts challenge focus is looking at American Folk Art Quilts. They were made in the mid-1800’s. An internet site http://folkartmuseum.org shares many of these quilts.

My other President’s Challenge is to help repair veteran’s flags from Cedar Memorial at the QOV studio in Lindale Mall. I will be there every Tuesday from 12:00 to 4:00 pm. You may also check them out to work at home. As with any big job, many hands make light work which you will enjoy next Memorial Day.
